Entrepreneurship presents a path for women to close the pay gap and rise to leadership positions, on their own terms. Running their own company also offers the opportunity for women to collaborate with and hire other ambitious, like-minded women, fostering a new generation of women in leadership roles.
A luncheon was held at Rosehurst Gardens, to celebrate great business minds, up and coming entrepreneurs and the important role women play in our business community. Women bring unique skills, perspectives, and experiences to the workplace, which can help businesses succeed in today’s competitive and rapidly changing environment. One of the most important reasons for the necessity of women in business is diversity.
When we empower women, we increase the skilled workforce, local economies are strengthened, businesses do better, and families rise out of poverty and create generational wealth and self-sufficiency.
